About the author: Paresh Porob is one of the most respected Range Forest Officers in the Goa Forest Department. His name is synonymous with every aspect of wildlife in the state. An avid bird watcher, he has been instrumental in†the declaration of Mhadei and Netravali Wildlife Sanctuaries in Goa.
About the author: Pankaj Lad, is a well known birdwatcher in Goa. Having learnt from experts like Carl D’silva and Heinz Lainer, he is responsible for the additions of quite a few species to the list of birds of the state. Pankaj has been involved with avitourism in Goa for many years now.
About the author: Andrew†Mascarenhas is the doyen of avian acoustics in Goa. Starting as a single person, he has today raised one of the biggest groups of bird call/ song recordists in India, most of whom are based in Goa. Andrew is also the founder of www.birdsofgoa.org
About the author: Prasanna Parab is a well known bird photographer and has had his photographs published in a number of publications across India, such as Buceros by the ENVIS Centre for Avian Ecology and Threatened Birds of India to name a couple. He is an active member of Goa Bird Conservation Network and spearheads various activities of the network.
